Local Assemblies

A UCRF Local Assembly is a meeting – in person or online – where Union signatories and other interested parties get together to discuss urgent questions and issues arising from the Union’s manifesto.

A Local Assembly debates ideas at a local level and writes a communiqué back to the Union at large, developing the manifesto points further and offering ideas for concrete action. Typically a Local Assembly is run using an inclusive workshop method, such as Open Space, where themes for discussion are shaped and facilitated by attendees, although other formats are also possible.
