Working groups
The Union hosts working groups that focus on a specific issue or approach, providing space for members to meet and collaborate. Groups arrange their own meetings and share their progress with the wider Union on a regular basis.
Previous groups
Other previous working groups include:
Glossary group, which explored meanings of key terms relating to the UCRF manifesto
Reading group, which engaged with a range of materials to foster an activist knowledge ecology
Website group, which worked together to develop the current website.
Policies and Social Change
In 2023, three previous working groups – Indexes, Wellbeing & Degrowth in Fashion and Fashion & Politics – decided to regroup into one new working group: Policies and Social Change.
The group works on different sub-projects, such as an alternative matrix to the current LCA-based tools that dominate, and policy issues such as measures that will actually help to degrow the sector and enable a just transition.
