Projects
The Union undertakes a range of projects that seek to activate the manifesto in different ways. Some projects target key stakeholders, while others aim to engage a wider community in conversations around systems change in fashion.
Action Season
Twice a year, UCRF's Action Season invites members to propose and lead collaborative projects aligned with our manifesto. Spanning 8-10 weeks, these projects aim to drive meaningful change through focused initiatives, from workshops and events to publications and campaigns.
Whether crafting a global research agenda or hosting a regional discussion, Action Season empowers members to innovate and activate collective knowledge. Submit your project ideas and join us in shaping impactful futures!

Earlier projects
Our earlier projects included:
an annual Wikipedia edit-a-thon, in which members jointly edited Wikipedia’s sustainable fashion pages, sharpening and extending the text.
engagement with research funding bodies to advocate for greater pluralism in funding priorities, including those which favour the long term, systems change, collaborative practice and moving beyond the growth logic.
encouraging members to make banners and badges to communicate their membership of the Union.
